CHANEL DEAUVILLE TOTE BAGE GUIDE
The Deauville Tote bag, named after the fashionable city on the Normandy coast, was originally a seasonal innovation for Chanel’s 2012 Spring/Summer Collection. It was a canvas bag with a sporty-chic beach style and signature Chanel touches such as the interwoven chain, the large CC logo and the iconic Paris address of their famous store, 31 Rue Cambon Paris, where Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel set up shop and lived. It attracted a huge fan base, from the likes of Rihanna to Fergie to Jennifer Lopez, and it has been restyled each year since.
The Deauville is available in four sizes: Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large. It started off with four colors, Red, Denim Blue, Dark Grey, and Ecru. The materials used on this bag are jacquard, canvas, and leather, making it the perfect everyday bag. It includes the signature chain tote handles.
The brand revamped the colorful and canvas-soft Deauville, with grained calfskin with silver-tone metal studs with the Chanel Studded Logo Deauville Tote Bag. Additional sizes were introduced with the pouch bag and wallet. The latest styles brings in an edgy and modern vibe, compared to the casual and classic canvas bag.
